DIY CORNER: 4TH OF JULY! PART 1
Okay, so maybe this isn't the most popular occasion of the year, but I am a huge sucker for any kind of party opportunity, and my family thinks otherwise, however we always have time to invite some close friends and host a fun barbecue, which still gives me the opportunity to make some cute DIY's and snacks for my guests, which I absolutely love to do because if you do the same thing as my family does, you are always the person who is left out and has nothing to do all day except wait for your guests, so this gives you the opportunity to have you do something fun, so let's just get right into it already! :D
I feel like these cute fruit kabobs are a great snack for those people who want something more on the healthy side, and I feel like everybody does this for the 4th of July, however if you have not yet, then do not feel left out, because I haven't either... :-/
•Bananas
•Strawberries
•Blueberries
•Kabob sticks
•Tin trey
This is pretty self explanatory but put all of your fruits onto the kabobs (make sure you cut them up, other than the blueberries obviously) and aline them together to make it look like the United States flag, or whatever flag you want to use today, and switch up the fruits according to your flag. (PS. Shoutout to my fellow Californians! And to everybody around the world, for example Russia, Canada, India, ect.)
This is best for dessert, and so yummy!
•Cake mix
•Oreos
•Sprinkles
Make your cake as the box tells you too and bake it for 3/4 of the time it says, approximately, and then add in your crushed Ores and sprinkles, and you have a colorful cake!
You can hang this decor idea on your front door and it is very welcoming and cute, and also has a vintage touch to it.
•Twigs/sticks
•Blue, red, and white paint
•Twine
•Hot glue gun (optional)
Lay out your twigs/sticks the way you want it to look like, and then paint some blue halfway on the top sticks/twigs and the other half is white and red, and basically just paint it so that it looks like the American flag, and lay that out in the sun for a couple of hours, or just over night, and then you can tie twine around it, and this is totally optional, but you can use a hot glue gun just to make sure, and this is very important, you want to glue some additional sticks on the back, and then tie the top part of the twine around the back stick, if that makes sense.
Hope you guys found this helpful, and I'll talk to you soon. Bye!
XOXO,
Neon Dots
