DIY CHRISTMAS ROOM DECOR PART 2
Hi guys! So, I did this same post but a PART 1 recently, so I'll put that post at the end of this one, but I wanted to do PART 2 because, as usual, I am always procrastinating and I figured, why not? Let's get right into it so that you guys can have the coolest room for the holidays!
1)
•Clear ornament
•Disk of any kind
•Glue (must dry clear)
•Festive ribbon of any kind
I don't know about you, but I always have the same type of ornament every single year. Red and gold. If you have a tree in your bedroom and want to spice it up and make it your own, then take any disk, and cut it into pieces, and then glue them on the clear ornament. It's better if the glue dries clear so that you can't see through it. At the top of the ornament, slide your ribbon through the whole and tie it together at the ends, and you got yourself an ornament. And this way, you can make a ton and save all of those old disks you're not using.
2)
•Vase full of flowers
•Candy canes
•Glue gun
•Ribbon
This is pretty self explanatory, but just glue your candy canes to your vase and tie a ribbon around it. Um, easiest thing ever? And it's super cute, and hey, it could even make a great gift. Another cute idea is to have one candy cane for every day... Or two of course, if you're up for all of the sweets! (I know I am...)
3)
•Mason jar
•Sticker paper
•Template
•Green/red/gold paint or paint
•Sponge brushes
•Scissors
All you have to do is print out a template on your sticker paper and then cut that shape out, and stick that in the inside of the mason jar, and paint that. You want to make sure it's paint because using spray paint will only make it more messy, and you're more likely to get it on the outside as well, so you can't see from the inside with your template sticker. Then, let that dry overnight, and gently peel that off, and you have this really cute, personalized vase, and you can totally make a ton of these.
4)
•Clear ornaments
•Colored glass stain of your choice
•Small bowl
•Twine (gives it more of a rustic look)
All you have to do in this one is pour your glass stain into a small bowl and tie twine on the top of your ornament. Gently dip it into the stain, and let that dry overnight, and you have this cute ornament! You can also make a ton of these with different colors!
5)
•Candle
•Candle stand
•Glitter
•Modge podge
•Sponge brush
First, put your candle aside, and start painting your stand with modge podge, and put the glue all over, and once it's coated enough, tap it against your surface so the rest of the glitter doesn't fall over and go to waist later on, and let that dry for a couple of hours or overnight. Then, paint another coat after that dries to make sure all the glitter stays in place, and this has to be fully dry to achieve this step, and then let that dry once more, and you have this really cute set, and you can do gold, green, and red for the holidays, and the nice thing about doing a second layer on top of the glitter is that it will stay in place, unlike store bought candles and stands, where all the glitter falls off around your room.
Hope you guys enjoyed, and if you would like me to check out your recreations, use the #holidayneondots on Instagram only, and I'll make sure to check that out. Kisses to my neonators!
