WHAT TO PACK + LIFE HACKS FOR SUMMER VACATIONS I NEON DOTS
Hey neonators, it's neon dots here. If you guys are going on any vacations this summer, I thought I would give advice on what and how to pack for your vacation, so let's get started!
1) PRINTED DRESSES
Printed dresses are great if you want to quickly throw on a cute outfit. You can pair it with a wide brimmed hat, sunglasses, and some gladiator sandals.
2) FLOWY TOPS
Flowy tops are another great item to pack. They typically don't take up too much space in your suitcase. They are so adorable and are another easy thing to put on. It also is great if you are going to a location with hot weather, and you want to wear something light.
3) HAT + SUNGLASSES
Bringing hats and sunglasses are great if where you are going is extremely sunny. Sunglasses come in adorable designs. I recommend buying a pair of Quay sunglasses if you are on a budget, but my personal favorite are Dior sunglasses, which are on the more expensive side. Hats are great as well. I love to bring a cute straw hat to wear if I am going to a more tropical location, and a cute baseball cap if I am doing activities outside, such as zip lining, hiking, etc.
4) PUT SHOES IN A SHOWER CAP, AND SOCKS IN YOUR SHOES
You can buy a cheap shower cap and put your shoes inside. They typically stretch, which will help if you are bringing more than one pair on your trip with you. Put your socks inside your shoes to save up space.
5) USE A PILL BOX FOR YOUR JEWELRY
You can also purchase a cheap pill box at a CVS or Walgreens near by where you live, and store bracelets, necklaces, and earrings inside.
6) PASSPORT COVER
Passport covers are everywhere these days. I have seen adorable ones at Anthropologie as well. They are so adorable, and it will be easier to spot your luggage.
7) HOW TO PACK SHAMPOO
I recommend packing your own shampoo if your hair is sensitive. You also never know what is in hotel shampoos as well. You can buy plastic, small shampoo bottles at Target. Pour your shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. inside the bottles and screw on the cap tightly, making sure it's closed. To prevent it from spilling, place it in a plastic bag so that you can see what you have and it won't spill. Don't forget to label what is in which bottle.
8) PACK ESPADRILLES, FLATS, SNEAKERS, ETC.
Packing comfortable shoes to bring with you will be much more comfortable, vs. heels or wedges. They are also adorable, and come in various colors and patters as well.
9) BASIC/GRAPHIC T-SHIRTS
Basic and/or graphic t-shirts are great to pack because you can pair them with any bottom, for example, jeans, shorts, or skirts.
10) ROLL YOUR CLOTHES INSTEAD OF FOLDING THEM
Folding your clothes takes up a lot of space, so I recommend rolling them.
