DIY BIRTHDAY GIFTS + DIY BIRTHDAY CARDS I NEON DOTS
Hey guys! A lot of my friends birthdays are coming up, so I decided, I want to make their gifts instead of buying them, because it really shows that you care. I thought, I should make a post out of it so that you guys can have some ideas as well for your friends, so let's get started.
1) DIY MOVIE GIFT
•Box
•Snacks
•Movies
Put everything you and your friend love to watch together, and add in some snacks, popcorns, and more. I would also take a quick trip to Target and see if they have any nice popcorn boxes to put the popcorn in. They usually have some in the dollar section, or somewhere else.
2) SUNDAE IN A BOX
(I know I already did this post, but I wanted to show you guys again anyway)
•Plastic bags
•Box
•Printed paper
•Pen
•Toppings
•Spoons
•Cups
Put your items in the plastic bags, and add some fun labels with your printed paper, and also cut a long strip of the printed paper, fold that in half, and staple that to the toppings to add a fun touch to your toppings bags. Then, make a label for the inside of your box, and you're done!
3) PINEAPPLE CANDY JAR
•Mason jar
•Bright yellow paint
•Circle sticker
•Green paper
•Scissors
•Glue gun
•Sharpie
•Candy
Place your circle sticker in the center of your mason jar, and paint the mason jar yellow. Add as many coats as you need, and once that dries, slowly pull off the sticker paper. Then, cut leaf shapes with your green paper and scissors, and add home into the inside of the jar, making sure that there is space on the top to add your candy. Make triangle shapes all over the jar, and add in your candies.
4) DIY STARBUCKS CANDLES
•Wax
•Red color pigment or red crayons
•Mini paper cups
•Candle wicks
Use a hot glue gun to attach the wick to the bottom of the paper cup. To keep the candlewick upright and centered, tape some scotch over the center of the cup opening. Melt your wax for a minute per cup. After the wax is fully melted add in the color pigments and fragrance oils. Pour the mixture into the paper cups and let the wax sit for an hour.
To make the whipped cream, slightly melt some white wax. Don't melt it completely because you want it to keep a chunky texture. Make sure the red wax is fully hardened, and place the whipped cream wax on top.
Melt an orange-brown crayon over the candle and drip over the wax to create a caramel look on top of the whipped cream. Peel the paper cup off of the candle. Print out the Starbucks logo cut it out, and glue it to your candle.
5) SUGAR SCRUB
•1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
•3/4-1 cup granulated white sugar
•2-4 drops yellow or red food coloring depending on which batch you make
ª10-15 drops Lemon Essential Oil or 10-15 drops Raspberry or vanilla extract, depending on scent
Melt coconut oil in microwave for 20-35 seconds until melted. our sugar into oil and mix. If too juicy, add a small amount of sugar and mix. Add food coloring to make the color you desire. Add essential oils and extract drops (if you're blending) to achieve the scent you desire. (For the lemon raspberry use 10 drops Lemon EO and 10 drops raspberry extract). Store in an air-tight container.
6) PRESENT CARD
•Three different printed paper
•Ribbon
•Pre-made card (you could also make your own)
•Glue gun
Cut one long rectangular shape, one smaller rectangle, and one square/small rectangle shape, each different sizes with different patterns, and glue that onto your card. Then, measure the length of the boxes stacked onto each other from the middle and cut that ribbon and glue that in the middle. Make a bow, and glue that on the top.
7) CANDLES CARD
•Printed paper
•Yellow paper
•Glue gun
•Plain white card
Cut your printed paper into triangles, and cut your yellow paper into tear drops. Glue that all on your card to make candles.
8) BANNER CARD
•String
•Three different printed paper
•Glue gun
•Card
Lay out your string to wear you want it to be on your card, and glue that on with your glue gun. Then, cut out the different triangles and glue all of those in a pattern onto the string, or below it.
9) DONUT CARD
•Brown paper
•Pink paper
•Scissors
•Pre-cut sprinkles with different colored paper
•Glue stick
Cut two circles of brown (or if you have a huge paper you could cut two circles slightly overlapping each other and cut the outside out) and tape those together inside and out and cut half circles to make bite marks. Then, swivel the sides of the pink paper to make soft waves on the pink paper, and make the same bite marks, but the shape has to be smaller. Glue that on the brown paper, and and glue on the sprinkles.
10) CANDLE CARD
•Plain card (you could also make this again)
•Scissors
•Glue gun
•Candle
Use your scissor to flatten the back and glue that onto your card with a glue gun.
