MARCH DIY: EASTER

Hi guys! So this month, we have two very popular holidays. St. Patrick's Day, and Easter. I wanted to do the first part of this months DIY for St. Patrick's day, but all of them weren't as great as Easter themed DIY's, and they were all for kids anyways, so this month, I will only be doing a DIY for Easter, maybe one for room decor or what not, but not as a monthly DIY, if that makes sense, because I can't promise you guys two DIY's this month, since I'm so busy, so I'm sorry for that but I believe that April will be regular with two parts to the monthly DIY's, so let's just get started.

1) EASTER OREO BARK

Easter Oreo Bark - so festive, delicious and only takes 5 minutes to put together! { lilluna.com }:

•1 package vanilla candy coating
•3/4 cup Easter/Spring themed M&M's
•8-10 Spring Oreos, crushed
•8Spring or Easter sprinkles

Melt package of candy coating in a small pot of low heat - stirring constantly until all melted. Pour over a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle on crushed Oreos, M&M's, and sprinkles. Place in the fridge for half an hour, and once it's cool, break it into pieces.

2) CANDY FILLED MASON JAR

Easter Bunny Treat Jars

•Bunny sticker
•Paint
•Ribbon
•Mason jar
•Candy of choice (Spring/Easter theme)

Place your bunny sticker on the jar, and paint over the jar. Once the paint has dried completely, take off the sticker, and you can tie ribbon on the top, and fill it with your candy.

3) GLITTER EASTER EGGS

Glitter Easter Eggs - girl. Inspired. (Would work well with brown eggs since it's all we can get!):

•Mod Podge
•Sponge brush
•Glitter
•Painters tape

Put your painters tape across the bottom of your egg, and put Mod Podge starting from the tape line downward to the roundest part (bottom part) of your egg, and start moving it in circular motions, coating the Mod Podge with glitter. Let that dry and you're done.

4) PEEP POPS

•Peeps (bunny shape)
•White, milk, or dark chocolate, melted
•Easter themed sprinkles
•Cake pop sticks
•Styrofoam

In a small bowl, pour your choice of chocolate and melt it in the microwave, and keep on stirring until you get the mixture that you want. Afterward, push a cake pop stick on the bottom of your Peep and dip the Peep into the melted chocolate, and sprinkle on some sprinkles, and place the sticks into a piece of styrofoam, and place that in the fridge or freezer.

5) MASON JAR COOKIE RECIPE

Easter MM Cookie Mix in a Jar

•Chocolate cake mix
•Easter themed M&M's
•Mason jar
•Twine
•Recipe printed on small paper
•Hole puncher

Pour the ingredients in one by one, and then put on the lid to your mason jar and close it, and when tying the twin around the top of your jar, make sure to first hole punch it to the top and then finish it by tying the twine around it, or using a small clothes pin to pin it to the inside of your twine, and this is such a cute, customizable idea.

I hope you guys love these ideas as much as I do, and I would love to see you guys try out these recipes and DIY's, so make sure to use the #diyeaster2016 on Instagram so that I can see your wonderful recreations. Kisses to my neonators!

XOXO,

Neon Dots
