MOM'S CORNER : DESIGN A PLAYROOM! I NEON DOTS

Hey neonators, it's neon dots here. I wanted to do a series just dedicated to mom's, so I thought that I would help the mom's out there who have a very cluttered, dirty playroom. I think it's time to give your playroom a makeover, so let's get started!

1) DESIGN A VISION BOARD

Go onto photoshop or any other application where you can create a vision board. Add images of colors, certain items, and the overall design pieces that you want to include in your playroom and print it out. This way, when you are shopping for your furniture, you can reference to your vision board to stick to your initial plan.

2) BUY A STORAGE UNIT

Add some wired baskets to your storage unit to hold books, crayons, and toys as well. This way, you can also buy labels so that your kids can pick out their certain toys and they are able to see where they are as well.

3) GLASS WHITEBOARD

If you are really concerned that your kids will get crayons and what not all over your walls, you can have a glass piece mounted onto your wall so that they can draw on the wall with some expo markers and won't be able to draw on the walls with anything else.

4) PROVIDE A LEARNING CENTER/READING NOOK

If you are the type of person who really stresses for your child's education, add a fun tipi in the corner. Add a fun bean bag, pillows, and a wooden crate to hold educational books and what not, so that your kids can learn at the same time. You can also add a fun table and DIY it by arranging painters tape in different shapes across a simple table and filling the empty spaces with your rooms main colors. Let the paint dry overnight and remove the tape afterward, putting a thin layer of mod podge to seal it off, and you are done!

5) ADD A FUN MINI PLAYGROUND AND ANY FINISHING TOUCHES!

Adding a fun swing set that will be able to fit into your space would be a great option to keep your children active. If not, you can add a fun swing set in the room as well. I recommend searching up a DIY online to learn how to do so. Add any finishing touches, and you are done with your makeover!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and if you decide to use any of these ideas, or want to share your playroom with me as well, make sure to use the #lookneondots on Instagram and Snapchat. Kisses to my neonators!
