SUMMER SURVIVAL GUIDE : DIY SUMMER ROOM DECOR I NEON DOTS

Hey guys! Since summer is right around the corner, I decided to start a summer series. I really wanted to do a series for summer because, everybody loves summer, so I decided that I wanted to combine all of my favorite things, DIY's, look books, and so much more all into one summer survival guide for you guys, so let's start with some cute DIY summer room decor to spice up and change your room.

1) FRUIT COASTERS

•Round coasters
•Paints of chosen fruit
•Mod Podge
•Sponge brush

Take your coaster, and start painting the coaster with your paints so that it looks like your chosen fruit, and after the paint dries, put a layer of mod podge on the coaster, and let that dry, and you can use it to hold your drinks if you have a table in your room, or whatever you want to use it for.

2) STONE CACTUS

•Stone
•Rocks
•Paint brush
•White paint
•Green paint
•Pot

Paint your stones with the green paint, and use the white paint to make the accents on the green paint so that it looks like a cactus, and once that dries, pour the rocks into an empty pot, and once that fills the whole entire pot with the rocks, put the stones upward into the pot.

3) WATERMELON TREY

•Round wooden object
•White handles
•Super glue
•Green paint
•Red/pink paint
•Black paint
•Paint brushes
•Mod podge

Paint your round wooden shape and paint the outside with green, and the inside with red or pink paint, or vise versa, and once those paints dry, paint on some black seeds, and coat that with mod podge. Afterward, super glue your white handles to the watermelon to make a cute summer trey!

4) WOODEN CARTON FOR SHOES

•Bright blue spray paint
•Yellow sticker letters
•Wooden carton

Spray paint your wooden carton and let that dry, and then put on the yellow sticker letters so that it writes out shoes, and you can put your shoes inside. You can also write out magazines, put magazines in there, and set up a small corner with some blankets and pillows.

5) STORAGE SPACE

•Bright containers
•Black board stickers
•Chalk sharpie pen

Label your sticker labels with your sharpie chalk pen and put that on your containers, and you can put in your books, history books, or whatever you want!

6) TUMBLR NOTEBOOK

•Printed pictures
•Notebook
•Mod podge
•Sponge brush

Coat the back of the pictures with your mod podge and put that onto your notebook, and when you're done, coat over the pictures with your mod podge, and let that dry.

7) TRAVELING SHADOW BOX

•Shadow box
•White paper to fit the back of your frame
•Letter whole puncher
•Pictures of the city
•Memories from the city that you have
•Glue gun

Glue the paper to the back of your shadow box, and punch out the pictures of your location with the letter whole punchers, and glue that onto the back of your white paper, and you can put in any memories from your trip into the shadow box, or glue it to the back to make sure that it sticks and stays onto the back of your paper, and then secure the back of your shadow box.

8) FLORAL MOUSE PAD

•Floral paper
•Round cork board
•Mod Podge
•Sponge brush
•Pencil
•Scissor

Trace the size of your cork board onto the back of your floral paper, and then cut that out, and glue that onto your cork board, and once that dries, coat another coat of mod podge onto that paper, and you're done!

9) PENCIL HOLDERS

•Empty soup cans
•Mod podge
•Sponge brush
•Printed paper
•Glue gun
•Scissors

Cut the length of your printed paper to fit the sides of your soup cans, and then mod podge the paper onto your soup cans, and make six of those, and then glue those with your glue gun into a pyramid shape.

10) TRIANGLE TUMBLR ART PIECES

•Wooden triangles
•Pencil
•Tumblr pictures
•Bright paints
•Paint brush
