DIY JANUARY CRAFTS PART 2 ROOM DECOR

Hi guys. So last time, I did some really random DIY's, so this one is just room decor DIY's. If you did not read my last post, I will link it down below, but basically, I am doing monthly DIY's, and part one will be random, fun DIY's, and part two will be a certain type of DIY, so let's get started! PS. Who else is loving the short intro's?

1) DIY PAINTED BOTTLES

DIY Painted Bottles- cute upcycle idea for this Starbucks latte bottles:

•Glass bottles
•Painters tape
•Pastel paint (pink, blue, yellow/green, and gold)

Okay, so put some painters tape in a stripped pattern towards the bottom of your glass bottle and fill in the blank lines with tape (You want to have one tape piece on the top, middle, and bottom, and fill in the blank) and not on the top, and then let that dry for a couple of hours or overnight, and put in some water and flowers.

2) TRIANGLE COLORFUL ART PIECE

Mod Podge Wall Art | Simple Creative Wall Art Design by DIY Ready at www.diyready.com/20-cool-wall-art-ideas/:

•Canvas
•Mod Podge
•Sponge brush
•Fabric, painted triangles, or printed paper (I'll be showing you guys how to use the printed paper, but you can basically follow the same steps for any of these materials)
•Scissors

Take your printed paper and just start cutting random sizes of triangles, and you may want to lay them out on your canvas before using your mod podge, but you can do whatever you want, so then just mod podge that down to the canvas, and let that dry for an hour or overnight, and then do another coat of mod podge on top of that, and let that dry, and you're done!

3) WASHI TAPE KEYBOARD

Brighten up your keyboard with wasabi tape...looks so cute but I still hunt & peck so much. I wonder if you can see the letters through the tape??:

•Multiple washi tape patterns
•Ruler
•Scissors

First off, you want to measure the length of each key, and cut your washi tape according to the measurements, or you can take your ruler, and put it over the end of the washi tape, and pull the roll back towards the left over the ruler, and rip it. That is also a great trick for planning, if that makes any sense to you, and ya! And washi tape is really easy to remove, so you can try different patterns whenever you want, and it's super customizable, like most of the DIY's I always share with you guys!

4) CLIPBOARD ART DECOR

Try putting inspirational messages on clipboards and hanging them on the wall. | 29 Impossibly Creative Ways To Completely Transform Your Walls:

•Clipboard
•Printer paper
•Printer
•Hammer
•Nails
•Painters tape

Okay, so this is pretty self explanatory, but you just take pages or a word document out and you can either drag on a quote that you like onto the word doc and print that, or you can write down something you want people to see on your wall, and then just print that out, and clip it to your clipboard, and before putting anything on, put some painters tape where you want the edges to go before you do this so you can see what all the clipboards together will look like, if that makes sense, but if it doesn't, this step is optional, and if you or if you don't do that, take the top hole on your clipboard and stick a nail through the back and nail that with your hammer, and you're done!

5) DESK DECOR SAND AND FLOWER PIECE

•Vase and/or cup
•Sand
•Food coloring
•Fake flowers
•Scissors
•Bowl

Take a bowl and pour in sand around 3/4 of the way, and die it with your food coloring, and spin that around with a spoon, or whatever you want, and pour some sand halfway inside your vase or cup, and cut off the stem of your flower, and stick it inside the sand, and these take five minutes at the most and it's super easy, and these would be super cute to but on your desk.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, and if you want to share your recreations with me on Instagram, make sure to use the #lookneondots. Kisses to my neonators!

XOXO,

Neon Dots
