DIY SPRING ROOM DECOR I NEON DOTS

Hey neonators, it's neon dots here. It has been a minute since I have done a DIY room decor post, and I honestly miss them so much, so I thought that I would do a fun spring edition post for you guys. If you want to see more DIY related content, share this post and let's get started!

1) LIGHTBULB PLANETARIUM (UPCYCLE DIY)

•Old lightbulbs
•Twine
•Small rocks
•Fake small plants

You can find the twine, small rocks, and fake small plants at any local craft store. Personally, I am one to kill plants and it's honestly terrible, so if you cannot take care of a plant like myself, pick up a fake plant. This is great because you can reuse your lightbulbs. Fill 1/4 of it with small rocks. When you are halfway done with filling it up with the rocks, put in your fake plant, and put the rocks around the plant afterward. Screw back on the top, and wrap some twine around the 'lid' or the top part of the lightbulb. I think this would be super cute next to a window!

2) POM POM GARLAND

•Twine
•Pom poms
•Glue gun

Again, you can find all of these at the craft store, but cut a long piece of twine (measure it so that it will fit on your wall) and glue on your pom poms. If you are just as organized crazy as I am, you can make some sharpie marks in three inch increments to space them out. Glue them on with your hot glue gun. I recommend buying some command strips if you don't want to ruin your walls, but if you don't mind, just stick a pin in your walls and hang up your garland.

3) FLORAL SPRING BACKGROUND

•Big piece of cardboard/poster board
•Fake flowers
•Glue gun
•White letters that spell spring (you can also paint them)

Cut your fake flowers so that they are flat on the surface towards the back. Once you have cut all of them, glue them onto your board. Make sure to glue them in random spaces, and towards the end, fill the gaps with more flowers. Glue on your letters. Make sure to do this craft on a flat surface, like a ground or a table. After everything has glued and it is secure, you can put it up on your mantel or use it as a background for a picture. It may be more safe if you use a huge frame, if you can find one, to ensure that the letters will not fall, if you want to be safe.

4) CHANEL FLOWER VASE

•Mod Podge
•Sponge brush
•Printed out Chanel N˚3 sign (you can print one out from online)
•Clear flower vase

On the front of your flower vase, cut out your Chanel sign and apply mod podge on the back, and stick it onto your vase. After it has dried, you can apply another thin layer of mod podge to make sure it stays in place. Fill it up with water and some flowers, and it is so adorable and you can take a fun picture with a cute latte for Instagram as well, which would be extremely cute.

5) SUNGLASS HOLDER

•White shadow box
•Glue gun
•String

Take off the glass from your shadow box, and towards the inside edges of the shadow box, glue on some string on the inside sides. After the glue has dried, you can put on your sunglasses and put it on a vanity or a dresser and hold your glasses, or even earrings.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post. I am trying to upload every other day, so tune in on Sunday for another new post. Kisses to my neonators!

XOXO,

Neon Dots
